ONGOING ACTIVITIES
The Bahá'í community of Waterloo Region consists of approximately 500 individuals coming from all backgrounds and living across all parts of the Region. The Bahá’ís, along with like-minded friends, neighbours and colleagues, are dedicated to working with all peoples to contribute to the spiritual and material progress of society. We welcome you to join us in these endeavours. In neighbourhoods across the Region - and all over the world – you will find Bahá'ís striving to bring a vision of the oneness of humanity into reality through devotional gatherings to find inspiration, or local study groups and classes for the spiritual empowerment of children, youth and adults.
Devotional Gatherings
Prayer is integral to Bahá’í life. Bahá’ís host gatherings in which friends, Bahá’ís and others alike, unite together in prayer, often in one another’s homes.
Bahá’í Children's Classes
Bahá’ís see the young as the most precious treasure a community can possess. In them are the promise and guarantee of the future. Yet, in order for this promise to be realized, children need to receive spiritual nourishment. Bahá’í children's classes help address this need.
Study Circles
Study Circles assist individuals to deepen their understanding of the Bahá’í teachings, and to gain the spiritual insights and practical skills they need to carry out the work of the community.
Junior Youth Groups
Falling between the ages of 12 and 15 and representing a transition from childhood to youth, junior youth experience rapid physical, intellectual, and emotional changes. Directing their new abilities towards selfless service to humanity is an important need at this age. Junior Youth Groups help address this need.
